Do not operate the Thermowell without an input controller such as the variac located at your desk.

If the Thermowell is cold operate it for 3-5 minutes at 85 Volts to drive off adsorbed moisture.

Do not put the thermowell directly on the desktop because of the heat it generates. A metal ring on a ring stand can be used to support it.

If operated at a line voltage of 110-120 Volts without a flask a surface temperature of 500 - 550 °C can be reached. This should be avoided.

Do not leave your Thermowell unattended when in use.

Carrying by the power cord or pulling on the power coard can pull the cord through the strain relief causing a short circuit.
