Iodine and Thiosulfate

Let's mix a solution of sodium thiosulfate, Na₂S₂O₃, with iodine, I₂, dissolved in aqueous potassium iodide, KI. The mixture of iodine and potassium iodide makes potassium triiodide. KI₃. We will put the triiodide solution in the empty beaker and add some sodium thiosulfate.
