Procedure

In this experiment you will weigh gas samples of known volume at constant pressure and temperature.

Then you will make a plot of the mass of the known gases vs. moleular weight. This will be your calibration curve.

You will then determine the molecular weight of an unknown gas by measuring its mass and using your plot to relate mass and molecular weight.
