Safety

• All of the solutions you will be using today are potentially hazardous. Some are irritating to the skin and can cause severe burns if spills or splashes are not properly treated. Notify your TA immediately if your skin comes into contact with any of the chemicals used today. Rinse affected areas under cool water for fifteen minutes.
• As always, use gloves, goggles and aprons to protect yourself.
• The chemicals used today should not be poured down the sink. Your TA will point out the waste carboys where you should dispose of waste.
