- While you are using only small quantities of reagents, many
chemicals in this lab are potentially hazardous, so be sure to
rinse thoroughly with cool water if anything comes in contact
with your skin and tell your TA.
- Be especially cautious around the reagents station. Accidents
can be more dangerous where more chemicals are present and there
is some crowding.
- Always put the lids of each reagent bottle or jar on tightly
when you are done, and because not everyone will do this, never
pick a container up by the lid.
- Always wear your goggles and apron. You may also wish to wear
gloves.
- As always, be aware of your surroundings and others in the lab,
and please ask a TA if you have any questions!
